Lately.

I've had some lovely finds at the local oppies...
tooled leather clutch with the cutest coin purse inside ($4). This brings my collection to a grand total of 3.

2 tier Johnson cake plate. Still in it's box ($5)

pretty florals

this year has seen me sign up for a Diggers Club membership. Looking at all the seeds available is like being in a lolly shop trying to pick which ones I want. Have you ordered through the Diggers Club before? Any varieties you can recommend?

I got to meet up with a lovely blog friend, Jane of A Shady Baker. I've only met with one other blogger before, Susan, so it was a real treat to meet another. it's like we already new each other, which I suppose reading each others blogs for a few years is not surprising.
we talked all things op-shopping, collections, old churches, gardening, sourdough starters, farmers markets and Kitchen Aids.
Jane gifted me this beautiful pastel Johnson ware and some homegrown, homemade treats. thank you Jane.

what have you been up to lately?

happy mail. times 3

parcels in the mail, one of my very favourite things...

first up this delightful little envelope packed full of treasures from Lea of life, love and making stuff. this parcel is part of Lea's lovely little mail swap. (your parcel is on it's way to you).

next the sweetest little LGB to add to the collection all the way from the other side of the country. thank you Kylie.

and lastly this book by Frankie called Spaces. wow. it really is stunning. if you like mismatched furniture and décor, vintage mixed with modern, and unique homely homes then you'll love this book. it features a few of my favourite bloggers homes too. you can purchase a copy here.

have you received any happy mail lately?

in the mail box.

plenty of parcels in the mail of late, filled with beautiful goodies.

the vintage sheets for the 2013 vintage sheet FQ swap have started arriving too. i get a little bit excited opening the satchels to see all the pretty florals inside.
so far I have received parcels from Christy (a Christy Production) and Lynette.
Lea of Life, Love and Making Stuff and Tracy of Sunny Corner Farm along with the vintage sheet FQs sent a little gift. thank you ladies.

a birthday. my favourite things and a give-away

today I turned 24, and yes I get a bit excited and do a bit of a birthday countdown just as I did as a child.
so to celebrate I thought I would do some gifting to you, my lovely blog readers. a give-away that is full of my favourite things...

winter + woollen blankets + doilies = a hot-water bottle cover (crafted by me)

vintage tea towels + cushions = a cushion cover

vintage florals + pretty bedding = 2 sunny yellow floral Sheridan pillow slips (op-shopped and still in their original packaging)

vintage florals + doilies + bunting = a 3m length of bunting

milk glass + jewellery + more bunting = a sweet little bunting inspired necklace, with pretty milky-glass

to be in the draw to win the hot-water bottle cover, cushion cover, pillow slips, bunting and necklace just leave a comment below (you don't have to be follower but i'd love it if you were). I shall draw the winner on the last day of this month.

i celebrated this morning at work with a delicious peach cheesecake and this evening am heading out for dinner with my love (actually the first time we've been out for tea since we moved here). so a wonderful day it has been.

1 parcel, 2 parcel

a bit quiet from me here. being offered a couple of extra days of work this week has been perfect timing though with gas, electricity, water and phone bills all arriving in the letter box within a few days of each other... yes not so welcome. but today not one but two very welcome parcels arrived by mail. a lovely give-away parcel from a new favourite blog butter and buntings. filled with vintage goodies and handcrafted cards and tags. thank you lovely lady.
Taryn is also hosting a vintage button swap, the more the merrier so if you'd like to add to a bit of variety to those numerous button filled fowlers jars or floral printed tins then add your name.
and the second parcel held some new winter booties from the horse. and they are perfect. such soft leather and very well made. and with a work birthday dinner next week they'll be paired with tights, my latest dress creation and a brooch.

and of course parcels mean post bags and post bags make the perfect little cat cubby.
