a tag garland.

I've had these tags sitting on my sewing desk for some time. and just this week i had a little pop of inspiration to make them into a garland.
I went through my pinterest board of favourite quotes and sayings and typed them onto the tags using my trusty little typewriter. I then added some embellishments.. stitching on doilies and vintage sheets; and then adding a splash of watercolours too.
I then threaded them on a length of twine and with a couple of pieces of washi tape I was done.

have you been crafting of late? baking, sewing maybe?

  2. Great idea with the tags. I love using my typewriter for paper craft too. I've been keeping busy finishing off our magazine and planning my swap on my blog. Lovely if you want to join in, xx

  3. Oh, I really like this. I especially like the way you would need to get up close to it to read the quotes on the tags.

  10. I do love your tag garland, Zara. There's nothing quite so organic (although I do detest that word used in this context) as text typed on old manual typewriters. Loved catching up with all your recent posts now my laptop is home, its not quite the same reading favourite blogs on smartphones.
