tea towel it

after not finding any tea towels for weeks, this changed and on Saturday i scored these lovely few (& a tablecloth that snuck in too). 50c-$1 each.
all just part of op-shopping i guess. nothing to add to the collection for weeks, sometimes even months then when you have almost given up, you'll find those treasured pieces on every shelf, in every op-shop.

planning a little op-shopping adventure for tomorrow to new and undiscovered shops.
there's coconut banana cake and another soda bread loaf for a picnic lunch too.
my other half sure knows the way to this op-shoppers heart.

  1. Love your tea towels Zara. Since following your blog I often look for t.towels now in op-shops, just for interest really because I am completely incapable of sewing with them! But, I very rarely see them. Oh and your picnic lunch sounds delicious, enjoy!

  2. Top t.t. scores Zara. I think the Wagga Wagga one is my fave, although it's nice to see a Perth one up there. I'm still plodding along with mine, sometimes I hit the jackpot, other times it's slim pickings (and I've become more selective about those I bring home these days...)
Love the big gold Iswich letters too.

  3. Oh, Yes, those colourful tea towels are just so cheery, aren't they Zara. I can't wait to see what you discover tomorrow on your expedition to new Oppies. I can't imagine a better way to spend a day, two of my favourite pastimes .. picnics and Op shopping. Have fun! x

  6. Look if ever I find some garish aussie tea towels in the op shop I'm sending them your way, I know you make use of the them in a far more suitable fashion than i ever would. I admire your fore thought at seeing beauties -dare I say it- in these uglies :)
