Johnson and Tasmania

Finally,
after a 'Johnson of Australia' drought that lasted several weeks, along came a downpour of pretty floral cockery...

sugar bowl minus the lid, bringing the collection to four

50c each

Dinner and side plates, in new to me designs, 20c each.

The thrifted finds didn't end there...

Nursing journal, 50c, things sure have changed since this book was published

and tablecloth and tea towels with the apple isle theme happening (50c each).

  1. I've noticed the Johnson drought too. I think people are starting to hold on to it again. The Tasmanian napery of course is special. I do think the last one depicting a thylacine like it is a common mammal....or are they all prehistoric mammals?

  3. I'd say that Johnson fruit design is rather rare - its so nice! I have also found a design I've not seen before - its coming to YOUR house in the next month or so. Just so you can reserve space for a few more plates!

You certainly have luck finding tea towels - I love your growing collection, and I LOVE that old nursing text book - what a find, and so appropriate!

You've certainly found another stash of your favourite china. How cool is the Nurses book, very appropriate.

  6. We used to have those fruit plates when I was a kid. We didn't use them much or have them for very long (I think they were inherited from someone). Nice finds!
