The sweetest tea towel I've found in a little while, $2
Spools of thread, $4
Yet more cutlery again this week, the lot for 50c
This little jug in the perfect shade of pastel yellow, $2.
And now for my absolute favourite find of the week.
I spied this box tucked away on the bottom shelf of the homewares section of the local Salvos. Now all you seasoned op-shoppers will know that the brand on any box is not a given of the contents it holds, so of course I didn't want to get my hopes up...
but it was to be my lucky day. I opened the box and inside was just as the packaging had described...
with what looks like the original candles, unused, and the Pyrex in top condition.
This is the second one of these Pyrex dishes with this design, but the first with the serving stand.
Into the kitchen dresser with this one.
And as for the price- $10.. pretty reasonable I think.
Did you have any success in the op-shopping department?

Love the Pyrex dish! And in it's original box. Awesome! I have a matching round casserole dish, with the same pattern, but it's got a massive crack down the middle. I loved the delicate pattern though, and it was only $1.50 at Salvos, so I bought it. LOL!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the jug!

ReplyDeleteZara, my Mum and Dad had SO many dinner parties in the 70s and they always had casseroles sitting on those candles/stands. Gorgeous memories brought back by your photos x
