Crockery Cabinet

Saturday's Clearing Sale just out of town saw the purchase of a few much needed pieces of furniture and a couple of other things including two old timber ladders, one for a bed side table and the other for the sewing/craft room.
My favourite piece would have to be this kitchen dresser..finally a place to store and display the ever growing crockery collection. There was a bit of competition in the bidding for this one, but the fiance was determined, and so the final bid was ours..Yipee.

The top glass section currently holds the pastel coloured crockery, mainly Johnson pieces. It's lovely to see and admire the collection every time you walk through the kitchen.

It's rather cold and wet here today, so a spot of sewing is in order, there's also overripe bananas waiting to be turned into cake, and bags to be packed for a week of  New Graduate orientation at Dubbo... I better get to it.

  12. I love the below and blue ware. It reminds me of the home ec rooms the ins had in the country and also in a school I taught in in England. They all thought it was ugly and I was so tempted to replace it with a new setting fro Asda and take it off their hands. The search continues!
